If any of you have checked out my TBR on Goodreads, you know it’s packed with titles. But, when a good paranormal book (okay, not just paranormals) crosses my email, I can’t help but add it to the library.

And, everything I purchase is read. It just might take me a minute between writing my book and reviewing others. So, here’s what I added so far this month.

Goodreads.com Description: “In the Club of the Unknown, where the music blares and the faces are hidden behind masks, Gwyn meets a boy. Not just any boy, but one she is certain she has met before.

Only that’s not possible.

Gwyn lives in the last city of men, where memories are made through repetition and yesterday is forgotten with the reset.

The world has peace, what’s left of it anyway. Peace that has been gained through sacrifice.

But as behavioural school ends and Gwyn is sent out into the work force, she discovers that not everyone resets. Not everything is as it seems. The peace they live in is as fake as the masks they wear in the clubs. She starts to see that the walls surrounding the city, to keep the monsters out, might actually be keeping them in.

And maybe the boy she thought she knew, isn’t what he appeared to be at all.”

Amazon Description: “The last city of men has changed.
Only those who remember yesterday can see it.
There is tension in the air and violence in the corners you aren’t supposed to notice.
But Gwyn, a young girl in the orchard community, has a different problem.
Her learned memories seem to be gone, even the ones that make her who she is.
She wakes every morning, startled by the man next to her and the shack of a house they live in.
Even the ordinariness of her clothing seems out of place.
There is a thirst for adventure lingering in her throat and hunger for revenge she cannot place eating away at her stomach.
And just when she thinks she has it all figured out, everything changes.
A pair of green eyes find her on the train.
A pair of green eyes she knows from somewhere.”

Goodreads.com Description: Nothing is as it seems in Worlds Between. There are places where hunger can’t be contained and telepathy is possible, where the afterlife brings about more adventure than the living can handle, and sometimes employers might just bite.

Worlds Between features five novels and short stories from bestselling authors. Dive into these paranormal worlds that will have you reaching for the safety of your covers and reading well into the night. Check out more about the included stories below:

Goodreads.com Description: “Guarding Brecken Shaefer—a dark and dangerous rebel—is harder than it looks.

Death was nothing like sixteen-year-old Alisa Callahan thought it would be. Resting on pink, fluffy clouds for eternity with her gram and best friend sounded like a dream come true. After all, enduring one torturous experience after another in her short life deserved some kind of reward, right? Unfortunately, eternal rewards aren’t given out so freely when you take your own life.

Required to pay the debt for her actions, Alisa must become a guardian. It sounds easy enough, but not when the boy she is forced to protect has a dangerous secret and wants absolutely nothing to do with her.

Brecken Shaefer isn’t any normal teenager. He has special gifts that are sure to make Alisa’s afterlife miserable. When feelings develop between them, everything spins out of control. Not only must Alisa face her own demons— but to protect Brecken, she must face an evil so heinous that it threatens to destroy their souls completely.

Alisa is tired of hiding from her past. When the easiest thing to do is run, can Brecken give her the strength to stay?”

Goodreads.com Description: “Seeing Micah for the first time in years, Eden wants nothing more than to run and hide. Tall and handsome, Micah is no longer the scrawny kid she remembers. In a moment of sheer embarrassment, she throws her arms around his neck, unaware she’s just changed her childhood friend forever.

With his eyes opened to the realm of angels and demons, Micah soon discovers he has become the Seer, called to save the world from the flames that will cleanse the earth to start it anew. Shy and awkward, Eden stumbles through high school clueless, her guardian angel shadowing her every move, and keeping her safe while she unknowingly “awakens” others to their spiritual gifts. Micah will not only need those Eden has touched to complete his mission, he will need Eden in ways neither one of them thought possible.
